Sarah sighed and said "I wish everyone in this fucking town finally start seeing me for the role model that I am. I'm, like, a walking perfection, every guy's wet dream. No matter if they like it or not, I'm exactly the type of girl every guy desires and totally the type every girl should want to be, I wish they finally realized that. Maybe then I'd be able to keep them all in line." As soon as she said it, she felt an odd tingling sensation flow through her. And unknown to her (as of yet), her wish was granted.
But Jon was wrong about one thing, when he made his wish for someone (in this case, Sarah McMillan) to have their wish granted. He assumed that the wish would have none of the limitations that wishes made with the stone had. But that wasn't necessarily true. Though, his assumption that his memories wouldn't change was correct. Because of the way he made the wish, he would have to notice the changes (in the wish, he stated that at first he wouldn't like what was wished, but after a week, he would). So his memories would at least stay the same, even if everyone else's didn't.
In this case though, the specific wording of Sarah's wish guaranteed that the effects wouldn't be retroactive. Everyone in town would only now slowly start seeing Sarah in that way. The effects would accumulate and strenghten with each passing day, as well as with proximity and time spent around Sarah. And so even with Jon initially disliking, or even hating, what was about to happen, by the end of the week he would be as much into it as the rest of the school.
When Sarah reached her home and parked her convertible in front of it, she decided to take a couple of selfies. As befits the head cheerleader, she was an active social media user and wanna be influencer, so she was always taking new pictures for her Instagram. And if she felt like it, she might even send some spicier photos to her boyfriend - that would at least turn his attention back to her. This spoiled and vain bratty bitch, full of smugness, confidence, and disdain for those she deemed lower than herself (especially Goths) was now a role model to follow, soon to be an example of a perfect girl in everyone's eyes.
