Actually, Dr. Susan Mitchell wasn't bad to look at. She appeared to be in her thirties and in pretty good shape. She was no supermodel, of course, but she was attractive. A ring on her finger told Nick that she was married.
"Sorry," Susan said, lugging in a couple of bags and her briefcase. "I had to take care of some business with Luke, before he headed off to work." Nick assumed that Luke was her husband. He was all-powerful, yes, but not all-knowing. But that made things more interesting, right? He never knew exactly what the outcome of his changes would be. Even after they happened. Sometimes he wished he could know how these people's entire lives had changed because of his alterations, but his power didn't work like that. He could manipulate reality, but nothing else.
The "new" therapist turned and saw Nick and Mel waiting. "Who's first?"
"I think Melissa is," Nick said.
"I told you, my name is Mel, not Melissa," the stocky muscular tomboy sneered at him.
"Sorry," Nick said.
Susan nodded, then waved the butch and possibly-lesbian girl to come with her into her office. "Come on in, Mel," she said.
"I'll just stay out here with your girlfriend Sam," Nick said. "It's nice to have someone to talk to."
Suddenly, Sam (the lesbian that Melissa and her friends had bullied) appeared in the room, sitting right next to Nick in one of the waiting room chairs. She smiled at Mel, who she now believed to be her lesbian girlfriend. And Mel smirked back, now believing the same about Sam.
Mel and the therapist walked into the office. Before the door closed, Nick could hear Dr. Mitchell say something about the fact the Mel had been getting into fist fights at school. Wow, she had definitely changed.
"So, how long have you two been dating?" Nick asked Sam, turning towards her.
