By the end of the day, Karen had amassed quite a collection of photographs on the phone. She flipped through them and then considered. Hair coloring wasn't expensive, but anything's expensive for a high school student without a regular job. She didn't like the result she had gotten when she had tried to bleach her hair, making the picture of herself pretty annoying.
Yet the thing was magical. She had transformed Tom into a woman. The phone worked.
Couldn't she use it as an easy method of un-bleaching hair? She connected the phone to her computer and downloaded the photo. Being a high school student without the money for Photoshop, she had downloaded this free program called Gimp, which she thought was a really lame name. But it would suffice. A few minutes work at the computer and she had a photo of herself with brown streaky hair.
A few more minutes and she had a photo of herself with hair that looked reasonable. When she uploaded it to the device and used the invisible beam button.
Karen glanced down and saw her hair flowing down to her breasts... and it was brown. Being able to use edited photos opened up new possibilities. She had to tell Jon about this.
But first, she uploaded a photo of Tom taken off of Myspace. It wouldn't do to leave him walking around as an adult woman. He's probably still wandering the streets and can't go home, or maybe he's been picked up by the police. She needed to change him back before real trouble started, if it hadn't already. You'd never read a fantasy story where that happened, but she lived in the real world.
