As they marched out the house and into the yard, they noticed something very odd. The usual people they come across were mostly their age, which now we're younger and only now taking into account the sheer scale Jon changed with just him and his brother.
"Ohh lordy Jon, what have you done?", Karyn said as she saw former teenagers and now eight year olds got into their mother's minivan.
"It just fed my curiosēty.", Jon said as the van slowly go into reverse and took off, watching the eight year old talk and act like their age. Immediately after Jon said it, she noticed he mispronounced "curiosity", getting her to fear that this wish made them a little dumber..
"Uhhhm... I have a feeling our mental capacity is going down a bit.", she made him known with a tone of concern.
"What? What do you mean?", he retorted.
"I mean, I saw how those kids act and talk like eight years olds and thought nothing, then you mispronounced 'curiosity'.", she explained..
"Just act the part, it's only for the day.", he reassured her as he slowly pushed her to get moving. "We should be going to school, I wanna see what it looks like.."
Karyn only gave a dispirited sigh and she started looking into this uncertainty of future events that are to unfold and even looking at what she forgot. Already noting that she forgotten a bit of mastery in mathematics which made her struggle to get 6s multiplied after 6 or even 3s after 3. Another was her vocabulary, only knowing a few hundred and nothing more. Lastly was the thing she hate that she forgot, history. She could faintly remember sitting her ass in her bedroom for hours at a time trying to study American History, Euro-Asia History, and now she forgotten all of it.. She wanted to cry but there wasn't anything to remember about them that make her feel they're significant.
They slowly make their way to school and noticed the number of people their, current, age. Noticing few recognizable. Jay and Kyla were walking to school together, they were significantly younger than their former selves and their clothes alone speak much of it.
As they went past them, they don't seem to recognize either Jon nor Karyn. They only continued talking about recent games, BattleToads and such. Both Jon and Karyn started looking at each other in a bit of worry..
"When have we met!?", Karyn spouted out, worried..
"Calm down, we still have the rock and the device. We can change thing anytime. Heck, you could even do it yourself if you want to.", Jon reassured but was equally worried.
"Answer it..", she was serious.
"Uhmm..... third grade? ", he slowly gave the answer..
"Oh my....", panic went into her..
"What's my name?!", she asked..
