Hey Folks,
I've been putting my thoughts into things that I like about Fiction Branches lately, even compared to other sites like the Addventure. Here are some "from the hip" thoughts:
-
Searchable - I love the fact that I can search for phrases, which often brings me to old or new stories that I hadn't encountered before, giving me a chance to read up and contribute.
-
Ratings - While the ratings might not be the best system ever, I love the idea that people can give feedback in some way or another. Sometimes if I get a lower rating on an episode, I re-read what I had written and try to improve my style.
-
Load Speed - I love that the website is fast. There are a few story websites where it takes FOREVER to read through a story due to traffic or lag.
-
Quality - there are some great writers who contribute to Fiction Branches.
-
Formatting - I love that, at the bottom of every "Add a New Episode to the Story" page, the instructions on how to format a page are readily available. I don't have to browse to a different page or an FAQ.
This site is great, but it's not very popular anymore. I don't have a lot of time to contribute, as is the case for a lot of people, but wouldn't it be great to have more people contribute? What do you think the reason is for low traffic? Is it the need to sign in? Is it something else?
