"Honey, try to be civil, okay?" Robert told his wife Angela.
Robert and Angela Wellington were both nearing 50 years old and were some of the highest class of people in the neighborhood. Robert was a CEO of a major company and Angela came from money. They only had one son Robert Jr. (or Bobby, as he liked to be called), who was only 15 years old, despite them being so old. They barely got along with each other. The only reason they had a son was so that he could take over Robert's business when the time came, but Bobby wasn't interested in the "family business".
"You know I don't like blacks," Angela said.
"Angela, stop it. She's a very important client."
"If you say so," she said, sounding haughty.
The doorbell rang suddenly. "That must be her."
The Wellingtons' maid answered the door, letting in the pretty black woman of about 33 years old. Her dress was stunning without being scandalous. She was kind of short. On a taller woman, it might show too much leg ... and maybe a little bit of her ass. But Rachel Connors didn't have to worry about that. All of her dresses fit her right and she always tried to have a look of professionalism about her.
She nodded to the maid, who then walked off towards the kitchen, then headed towards the living room where Robert and Angela were waiting.
