"Samantha, where are you going? Come back here," Robert said. But his wife wouldn't comply. She didn't even acknowledge that he even said anything to her.
The man in the safari clothes smiled. "It's no use. They will only obey me." He eyed all the females. Some were mothers, some were wives, some were girlfriends, some were sisters, some were daughters ... but all of them were under the man's control.
"What are you talking about?" the father of the youngest female (a 13-year old named Susie) asked. "Sweetie, are you alright?" he asked his daughter.
"Margaret, please. Come back to me," a 73-year old man said to his wife. They came to the resort to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
"Mom," Thomas said. "Please come back. I'm sorry I acted like a pain earlier."
The other males of the group also tried to get the women and girls back, but it was no use, just like the safari man said.
"Females, protect me," the man said.
In unison, they nodded, then said "Yes, Master." And then they turned and stood in front of him, holding their hands together in a line.
There was no way to get around them.
"Samantha, listen to me!" Robert shouted, hoping to grab her attention. "That man did something to your mind! You have to snap out of it!"
But Samantha just stood there with a dazed look on her face, just like the others.
"Females, get in the vehicles. We're leaving."
"Not with my wife, you're not!" Robert yelled. He charged forward, intending to grab his wife. But what came next was totally out of the blue. Samantha slugged him! Right across the face! He suddenly found himself on the ground, face-first in the sand.
"Very good," the safari man said. Samantha turned and grinned at him. "Thank you, Master."
Robert looked up just long enough to watch all the females get into the vehicles and watch the vehicles drive away back into the jungle. Then he fell unconscious.
This was a nightmare, right? It wasn't really happening, right? He'd just wake up and his wife would be there waiting for him. Yeah, this was definitely a dream.
Except that it wasn't. And when he finally woke up, he found himself surrounded by guys who were just as angry and distraught as him.
"What are we going to do? That man took my girlfriend," a twenty-something guy said.
"He took my wife," another guy said.
"He took my daughter."
"He took my mom."
It was obvious what they had to do. They had to go save them from that safari man. But how? They didn't even know where the man took them.
