It was the middle of the night with only the full moon giving any light, so at first she didn't notice anything strange, but after her eyes adjusted to the darkness, Jennifer realized that Daniel was looking at her with lazy, almost empty-like eyes, like he mentally wasn't all there or something.
"Ungh," he uttered, knocking on the window again. It was a guttural, almost animal-like sound, devoid of any coherence.
"Daniel? What's wrong?" she asked.
"Ungh!" he uttered louder this time. She was starting to get really afraid now. If she didn't know any better, she'd say that her husband was a zombie. But zombies didn't exist, right?
