It was the middle of the night with only the full moon giving any light, so at first she didn't notice anything strange, but after her eyes adjusted to the darkness, Jennifer realized that the person she thought was her husband was actually a woman with his face! And not only that, but she was also wearing Daniel's clothes, although adjusted a bit to fit the woman's feminine figure.
The woman knocked on the window again. "Jennifer, open the door," she said. The voice did not belong to Daniel, but it did sound somewhat familiar. Almost like a variation of the voice belonging to Daniel's mother.
"Who are you?" Jennifer asked.
"Who am I?" she asked. "Jennifer, it's me. Dana. Your partner?"
"Partner? What kind of partner?"
"The married kind. Remember, we were heading to the Niagara Falls for our honeymoon and ..."
"No!" Jennifer shouted, trying to wrap her mind around what was happening. "I was going there with my husband Daniel. Where is he? Do you know?" She didn't want to believe that this woman was somehow her husband. It was impossible, right? Men just didn't turn into women, especially within a day. But it was hard to dismiss the fact that this woman could have been Daniel's sister, if he had one.
"Husband? Jennifer, you're not making any sense. You're a lesbian. You don't like guys. Now stop playing around and open the door," Dana said.
