"But that's just silly talk!" David's dad said with a breathy giggle. Though David wasn't sure "Dad" still applied. In his place was, for all intents and purposes, an exact human recreation of the famous doll. An impossibly waspish waist, round hips, and long legs. Tiny feet perched on pink stilettos, which matched the pink dress hugging Mr. Watson's now beyond belief curves.

She stood there, staring blankly at David with larger-than-life blue doe eyes, glossy lips slightly pursed. Her skin was smooth and flawless, almost plastic looking. The human doll looked as though she was locked in a pose - the only sign of life, her breasts rising and falling slightly with each breath.

"D-d-dad??" David finally muttered.

"What were we talking about?" She asked. "Oh!" Suddenly her expression lit up "We need to figure out what I'm going to be today!"

"What you're going to be?" David asked.

She giggled again "Yeah! Yesterday I was the cheerleader, and before that the nurse, and Wednesday I was the pop star. I haven't been the princess in a while. But, like, it's TOTALLY up to you!"

"Up to me?"

"Yeah. I mean, I am yours."

At that moment another knock came at David's door, and before he could respond his mother poked her head in.

"Ah, there you two are," she said as she walked in. "Breakfast is ready. Far be it from be to get in the way of father-son bonding, but you two need to get the day started!"

"I know, sweetie," David's dad squeaked with a hint of annoyance. "We were just, like, talking about what I'm going to be today!"

"That's wonderful, Barbie. Why don't you go to our room and David will be along in a minute to help you pick an outfit."

The new Barbie squealed in delight "I can't wait! See you in a minute, son!" And with that, pranced down the hallway as fast as her tiny feet could carry her, leaving Denise and a bewildered David alone for a moment.

"Mom, don't you see what's going on?! This is another one of Gilmore's experiments!"

"David, please. We had that little Kayla incident yesterday, but everything's fine now. Your father works hard for this family. With all the different jobs she does we owe her a little respect. Besides, she's YOUR plaything. Now go help her out, I'll bring breakfast up. I know how long it can take to go through that closet."

Denise headed back down to the kitchen, and David gulped. If he had done this, how much more was he capable of?
