"What the hell?!" David leaped up from the table, only to immediately lose his footing from the high heeled shoes on his feet and tumble backwards over his chair, giving the entire cafe a look up his short skirt. He remembered everything. A moment earlier his body, from the neck down, was that of a young hot woman. He'd been in the process of rubbing his foot closer and closer to the then-male groin of his favourite high-school teacher, Janice Robinson.
He looked up at Janice. Her face told him that she remembered too. In fact, the exclamations of surprise from around the room told David that everybody was remembering. The two men in the corner (Gus and Tony) dressed in lingerie were frantically trying to cover themselves up. The waitress who had previously been an orangutan was trying to figure out how to get down from the perch on top of the Soda-pop refrigerator.
The way David figured it, Janice was getting off easy. Still sitting in her chair, dumbfounded, she remained in the jean shorts and Metallica t-shirt that she had been wearing when she was a man. David wondered briefly if they would be able to switch clothes, then realized that it would be fruitless. For one thing, Janice was considerably smaller than he was, and the clothes that each of them were wearing fit each of them like a glove.
For another thing, good luck convincing your high-school teach to put on a fetish school-girl's costume.
"Are you alright?" Janice said, coming out of her daze, only then noticing that David was on the ground.
"I think so," he replied, picking himself up and setting his chair up again, but remaining standing, "This whole situation is majorly screwed up. This Doctor Gilmore is a psychopath!"
Janice smiled a warm smile. "Oh David, don't go off half-cocked. I'm sure that all of these experiments are going to benefit mankind."
"Benefit?!" David was shocked, "Am I the only one who realizes that this guy is only doing this to get his rocks off?! Last night he turned my mom into a horny teenage boy who jacked off all over my brother!"
"I'm sure it was all in the name of science," Janice said again, her voice calm. Too calm, in fact. David looked around. The scene of panic earlier had abated, leaving a room full of people acting completely normal not only with what they were wearing, but with what they had just experienced.
David took a step away from the table. "I can't stay here," he said, trying to keep his balance in the high-heeled shoes, "I've got to get home."
"Are you sure?" Janice asked, "I was really enjoying our conversation before. I remember that I was about to ask you back to my place. Just because we've changed, doesn't mean that I've changed my mind about that."
David...
