Nadine awoke slowly, then more quickly when she realized that she was bound to a chair.
"Ah, you're finally awake, huh?" a man's voice asked.
"Who's there? Who are you?"
"My name is Dr. Louis DeGonia."
"You're that psycho that kidnapped my mom, aren't you?" Nadine asked, struggling to get free.
"I did kidnap your mom, but I'm not a psycho. I assure you. I am quite sane."
"Not from my point-of-view. Anyone who kidnaps people to do experiments on them is psycho in my book."
"You wouldn't know a real psycho if ..." He trailed off in thought, then suddenly, a smile appeared on his face. "Hold that thought. I'll be back."
Then he left the room.
Outside in the hall, he met with another scientist. "Have an idea for Subject Number Five?"
"Yes, I do," Dr. DeGonia said. "How about we make her believe that she's a psycho who loves killing?"
