Meanwhile, back at the facility, the guards were able to catch Subject Number Two, a large hulking man who was made to believe that he was a woman trapped in a man's body. The woman in question was supposed to be timid, but apparently being locked up was cause enough for rebellion.
"Vicky, Vicky, Vicky," Dr. DeGonia said, wiggling his finger at the brute of a man. "You disappoint me. You said that you'd behave yourself."
"I'm sorry, doctor, but I ..." said the man who believed that he was supposed to be a woman named Vicky Andrews.
"You have to trust me, Vicky," Dr. DeGonia said. "Believe me. We are so close to figuring out a way to get you back in your own body. You just have to give us more time." Of course, there was no Vicky or Vicky's body. It was just a fabricated identity within the man's mind.
"Of course I trust you, doctor," 'Vicky' said. "But it's taking so long."
Dr. DeGonia patted the man's hand. "It's okay, dear. Just don't do anything like that again. Okay?"
'Vicky' nodded. "Okay, doctor."
"Good girl."
The doctor left the room and glared at the guard standing in the hall. "Make sure he stays in there, or you'll end up being Subject Number Five. Got it?"
The guard gulped and nodded.
"Sir," another guard called out, running down the hall towards Dr. DeGonia.
"What is it?" the doctor asked.
"Subject Number Four. She escaped."
