Danny held the spray canister up more confidently before him ... then he sprayed.
Unfortunately for him, though, Greg moved out of the way and wasn't affected by the spray. However, the "new" woman Jenny was. And after a brief coughing fit, her entire look began to change. Gone was the janitor's clothes, replaced by a black T-shirt, black leather miniskirt, fishnets, and a pair of black leather buckled boots with 2-inch stacks. Around her now-pale neck was a black leather choker and her hair was now black with blue highlights. She wore black lipstick, black eyeliner and eyeshadow. She had piercings in her nose, ears, and one in her lower lip. From just a cursory glance, she was definitely Goth now, but like Danny, it wasn't anything too extreme. Maybe because she was only sprayed once.
Seeing no other choice, Danny pushed Greg out of the way, causing the assistant manager to tumble to the floor, and he ran as fast as he could through the office, past the cubicles, and all the way to the elevators.
When he was finally alone in one of the elevators, he opened his hand. He still had the GOTH spray with him. But it didn't do him any good. He wanted an anti-GOTH spray. But if what Greg told him was true, he wouldn't be getting one any time soon. For the moment, it seemed that he was stuck this way. He might be a Goth for the rest of his life. That was something he did not like. Although ... part of him seemed to feel differently. Maybe the spray was having an effect on his mind as well as his body. He already felt angrier ... more rebellious. He had never felt like that before. It both excited him and frightened him.
As the elevator reached the ground floor, he wondered what he was going to say to his wife Carol.
