Daniel Sussman, an MTI security guard, (his friends called him Danny) walked around the fourth floor, looking for that Miller guy's stolen property. He didn't want to help that scumbag, but Ted told him to look, so he was looking. Apparently, it was dangerous or something. Whatever. All he knew was that he could be heading home right now. He had made plans with his sweet wife Carol (married for two years now and it was still going great, although they weren't able to have kids yet ... they were trying, though). He couldn't wait to get home and spend a romantic night with her. But no, he was stuck here at the office, looking for some damn case full of transformation sprays. Can you believe that? That's exactly what the Miller guy called them. Transformation sprays. He had never heard of something so ridiculous in his life. It was just so ...
He stopped when he looked into the office belonging to Greg Stevenson, one of the assistant managers. He met the guy before. He was a real piece of work, that guy. He peered into the office through the open doorway. The light was on in the room, but there was no one there.
Danny was about to turn off the light, but something caught his eye first: a transparent case full of small black canisters. He stared at the case for a moment, not quite believing what he was seeing. You mean that Miller guy was telling the truth? No, it couldn't be. Sure, it existed and it was quite obvious now that Greg was the one that stole it from the guy. But could they cause transformations? No way. Something like that couldn't happen.
He walked around the desk and picked up one of the canisters. He turned it around in his hand and pointed it at himself. It was the only way he could read the label.
Just at that moment, his radio squawked. "You find anything yet?" a voice asked from it. It startled him so much that he accidentally sprayed himself with the canister he was holding. Danny fell back against the wall with surprise and began to cough.
