(In my haste to construct this branch I missed the last line of the previous one, hence have adapted it to just before the target has been acquired. Sorry if I have made it confusing to read)
Across town there is a man dressed all in black with rimless glasses, and carrying a briefcase. There is a hands free kit connected to his ear and he is currently speaking into it. This is the conversation.
"It seems the next test subject has been delayed and therefore not going to pass by the spot you are heading to."
"Hmmm...That is annoying, after all the effort we put into choosing the targets you would have thought they'd have the decency to stick to their schedule" replied the Man in black.
"The drug is only in its beta phase, and hence should lose all effectiveness within the next 10 minutes; I suggest finding a random target within that time and performing the procedure on them. If not, you know what you must do."
"I know, we can't waste all the hard work we have invested in this project.. rest assured I will find another target. I have no wishes injecting my body with a tainted beauty extraction. Paul you must promise me that in the worst case scenario event that I do lose all my intellect with this drug and turn into some teenage bimbo, promise me you wont screw me over...In more ways than one" Said the man.
"Carl, I am genuinely insulted you would think I would do such a deed"
"C'mon now Paul. Promise me, I know you" Replied Carl.
"It seems you know me too well. Alright I promise"
"Just remember to extract yourself before injecting yourself, it will be the only way I can define which genes are directly related to the beauty essence and which ones are related to the Mcmillan's specific beauty"
Carl glanced towards some movement. Just across the street someone was just about to enter what he assumed was their home, this was his best option, with minutes left before the drugs termination if he didn't take this chance then he would have to be the next target. He made his way towards the person.
"Yes I know, I am going silent now in case I alert the target to my presence" Whispered Carl
"Good plan, you have 5 minutes. Good luck."
