Some browsers allow you to see the file name. If you image search said file name, sometimes (rarely) the picture may come up. It's worked for me...oh, a couple of times.
Really, though, this is why I think writers should never use pictures in place of description.
You just end up with:
He looked down.
[?]
*"OMG! What did you do!?"
"Mwahaha! And that's not all! Look again!"*
[?]
"OMG!"
Pictures only last so long. Chances are, if a chapter's more than a couple years old, the pictures don't work. At the very least, people should give hair color, gender, and age, if relevant. Clothing would really help, too.
There's one particularly annoying case where the author did the picture thing for multiple options, thus leaving behind a long series of dead ends when the pics expired. It was such a shame, too, because otherwise the chapters were pretty interesting. I felt tempted to just jump in there and insert my own descriptions regardless of whatever images had been intended.
