"Yo, girl," Ka'Mesha said. And when Sarah didn't respond, she said "Hey, Sa'Rhonda."
Sarah turned around. "Huh?"
"I's talkin' to ya, girl," Ka'Mesha said, annoyed. "What ya'll lookin' at over dere? You s'posed ta be helpin' wit dis here lab experiment."
Sarah ignored her, then turned and looked over at Shauna (yeah, that was La'Shawndra's name now) again and gave her a dirty look, making the white girl smile back at her. It was a devious smile. That confirmed it for Sarah. Whatever had happened, La'Shawndra must have had something to do with it. And she was enjoying every minute of it! "Dat bitch," Sarah uttered.
"Hey!" Ka'Mesha nearly yelled. "You listenin' to me, girl? You better have a good explanation for why you ain't workin' and instead lookin' over at dat other table."
