When Sarah finally made it to the mall, she headed inside and spotted her friends right away. There was Melissa Smith, Jessica Davis, and Allison Wright (her other friends couldn't make it). As she approached them, they noticed that she had more of a wiggle in her step. Why was she walking that way?
"Hey, girlfriends," Sarah said. "Whatchoo starin' at?"
"Why are you talking that way?" Melissa asked.
"Ah ain't got no clue what y'all talkin' about," Sarah said, still sounding like a black girl (or more specifically, like Lashawndra Jones, the girl who sent her the green-colored stone).
"Are you making fun of me?" Allison asked. "Cause it's not funny."
Sarah was confused. "Ah ain't makin' fun of ya. Why would ah do sumthin' like dat? You my friend."
Allison grew angry, then spun around and stormed off.
"What da hell be her problem?" Sarah asked.
"As if you don't know," Melissa said.
"Yeah, Sarah. I think the joke has gone on long enough," Jessica said.
Sarah was beyond confused. What the hell were they talking about? What joke? She just greeted her friends like she always did and then they were all getting up in her face about it.
"Ah really ain't got no idea what you talkin' about. I's not makin' any jokes."
Her friends looked at each other, then just walked off.
What the hell was their problem?
