Sarah grabbed the pink-colored phone from her purse and answered it.
"Hello?"
Suddenly, she heard a bunch of nonsensical words spoken by a girl. Thinking it was a prank, she yelled into the phone "How did you get my number, you weirdo?!"
But the girl didn't answer. She just continued to spout off more of those nonsensical words. Sarah didn't watch movies or TV all that often, and she didn't read at all, but she had this sudden thought that the girl on the phone was reciting a magic spell. Some old movie she saw once came to mind, but she couldn't remember what it was or when she saw it. Was that what this girl was doing? Reciting a spell? That was ridiculous.
The girl kept on talking, using the same weird words.
Not really knowing why she didn't do it earlier, Sarah then disconnected the call. But right before she did, the girl stopped talking (was the "spell" complete?). Why did Sarah wait so long to get off the phone? She shook her head, then headed into her house.
