Sarah walked over next to Morris and felt him touch her neck. His fingers felt cold and slick.
"What was that?" Sarah asked, startled.
"That's what I invented. It's a new kind of skin cream. Yeah, yeah. I know. It doesn't really help 'the cause', but I just thought you might like it. You know, since you're ... you're a woman."
Sarah blushed. "That's ... uh ... very sweet of you."
"Well, how does your neck feel?" Morris asked.
She touched it. "Soft and smooth."
Morris smiled. "The cream that I came up with works way faster than any other and it lasts at least twice as long. I'm still trying to fix that. I want it to last much longer than that."
"Well, what you have so far is ..."
"Smith, are you ready?" Kendall suddenly asked from the lab entrance.
She turned and nodded.
"Then let's go," he said.
"Sorry, Morris. I guess we'll have to talk about this later."
"Okay. I'll just be here. Have fun on your case."
"As much as I can," Sarah said. Then in a lower voice, so her partner couldn't hear, she said "But you know how Kendall is."
