"I found her!" Morris yelled, running into the room excitedly.
Agents Folmer and Willis stopped what they were doing and turned towards him. "Found who?" Folmer asked.
Morris stopped running and panted heavily. He just wasn't in shape. He was a scientist, not a marathon runner. "It's Agent Smith. The tracking nanites are sending a signal again."
"And please explain to me again why your so-called amazing mini-robots didn't send out a signal before?" Folmer asked. "I mean, come on, Bertman. It's been almost a month."
"I think it has something to do with the fact that her brainwaves were different during the last four weeks. When the mind controller conditioned her, her mind literally changed. But now, the nanites are sending out a signal again. So that means that her mind is back to normal. At least for the moment. We don't have a lot of time. Who knows when the mind controller notices that she's not under his influence anymore?" Suddenly, there was a bleeping noise. "No!"
"What is it?" Agent Willis asked.
Morris looked down at the device he was holding. "I just lost Agent Smith's signal. Now we'll never know where she is."
"Too bad you didn't put those nanite things in Kendall too," Willis said.
"You don't think I know that?!" Morris snapped, then turned around and walked away with shoulders slumped.
