Susan was becoming increasingly worried about Jon. At a time when most boys his age had a harem of girlfriends, he didn't have any. Even his best friend, Karyn, hadn't achieved 'girlfriend' status. Jon seemed to like girls, as evidenced by the porn collection he thought she didn't know about. But, then, why wasn't he in any relationships?

And it wasn't like he didn't have any opportunities. After all, when three quarters of society was female, how could he not have opportunities? And women supported, even insisted, on polygamy. What woman wouldn't? Susan thought. She knew that other women didn't always get along so well with the other wives in their marriage group, but she was fortunate enough that she and her fellow wives adored each other. Polygamy gave women an automatic support group, other women that they could go to with things that they might not feel that they could talk to their regular friends about. She heard about the occasional monogomist individual. It seemed so unnatural, almost abusive. Women needed the intimate relaionships with other women that a polygamist relationship provided, and cutting a woman off from other girls seemed a horrible thing to do to another human being.

Women, in this reality, were also comfortably bisexual, greatly increasing their pool of potential partners. It was not uncommon for two or more women to already be in a relationship and agree to marry the same man. Susan and Becky had been like that. They had become partners in college and mutually agreed that they would only marry a man who wanted them both. The third wife in their relationship, Miranda, came in about six months after their marriage.

Susan and her other wives had discussed the issue and all had similar concerns. Jon was the only boy in the family to not have any girlfriends. And as Jon was her son, she was especially concerned that he find a few good girls soon.
