As they approached the downtown mall (it was an interior mall, but only had one floor), Norton said to them "You know, you two should show a little more skin. Unbutton your collars a little, let your necks breathe."
Sister Katherine's eyes narrowed on Norton. "I think you should mind your own business, young man. Our clothes are staying exactly the way they are."
Norton shrugged. "Okay, whatever."
But as the seconds flowed by, Sister Katherine began to feel uncomfortable with her blouse buttoned all the way up to the collar. In fact, it felt a little too tight. Like her collar was choking her or something. She needed to breathe. So about a minute after Norton's suggesting, she unbuttoned her collar and then another button down. Sister Christina did the same.
"See?" Norton said. "Don't you feel a lot better?"
Sister Katherine nodded. She did feel a lot better. Normally she wouldn't wear a blouse like this, although not scandalous in the least, but she did have to admit that Norton was right. She did feel a whole lot better.
"There's the mall," Norton said, pointing.
The two nuns looked. They had seen the mall many times from the outside, but they had never entered it. They made sure to stay as close to Norton as possible. They didn't want to get lost.
"Come on," Norton said, a few minutes later as he led them through the entrance. "I know exactly where we can go."
