When the light was gone, they opened their eyes and saw ... the inside of Julie's house.
Julie walked further into the house and looked around in bewilderment. "How ... how is this possible? This is my house."
"So, this is where you grew up," Kevin said, looking around the room himself.
"No. We were in the woods. My parents live in the suburbs." She looked around some more, noticing that there were small differences between this place and the house she remembered, like the fact that the family portraits were missing. "It's like it's a copy of it."
"Who would want to copy your house? Especially all the way out here?" Kevin asked.
Julie had no idea.
