When the light was gone, they opened their eyes and saw ... the entrance to the game.
"Man, that was great," Chris said, removing all of his gear.
"For me too," Alex said. "It would have been better, though, if I could have explored my body a little more. But the game doesn't allow that kind of interaction. It ... it was just so weird playing as a girl."
"Well, my girlfriend couldn't do it and I needed someone to take her place. I mean, you said you didn't have a problem with it."
"I didn't. But now, after ... I can still feel what it was like."
"It'll go away," Chris said. "Now come on. Let's go get a drink."
Alex took off his gear, but then looked back at the entrance to the virtual reality game that he and his friend Chris had just exited from. He remembered everything from the game. Walking through the forest, his long hair swinging from side to side, his breasts bobbing up and down, the weight of his backpack dragging him down. He was a girl. He was Julie. It felt so real.
"Dude, are you coming or what?" Chris called out.
"Uh ... yeah."
