After about ten minutes of silence, Kara spoke up. "We're almost there. Just another few minutes."
I had been thinking about something for the last few minutes, and I thought that this was the best time to bring it up.
"Those spheres," I said.
"Yeah?"
"You said that they change people. What do they change people into?"
"An any number of things. You already know about the Degenerates. But there's also the Feeders, the Techheads, the Griffs, the Femmes, just to name a few."
Those names obviously meant something to Kara, but I didn't have a clue what they meant.
I was about to ask her, but before I could, she said "We're here. This is my hideout."
