I began walking towards it, climbing over rocks and boulders and pushing through tall grass and weeds. The landscape had apparently changed, unless, of course, the cryo chamber had been moved, as I suspected earlier.
It took nearly ten minutes, but eventually I was close enough to see the sphere in detail. It was about a foot in diameter and was a completely metal and flawless sphere. When I say flawless, I mean that there were no weld marks, indentations, or protrusions. It was a perfect sphere.
And it was floating about ten feet in the air. I couldn't figure out how that was possible. What was keeping it from crashing to the ground?
Suddenly, as I stood beneath it, the sphere began to make a humming sound. And the sound became louder with each passing second.
