Lizzy moved her hand over the display screen and touched the picture showing an icy tundra. Immediately, the portal's "picture" changed to show an arctic landscape, complete with icebergs and snow.
"Now what?" Jeremy asked.
"We step through," Seth said.
Jeremy walked up to the portal, took a deep breath, then walked into it. The trip was instantaneous. One moment he was in the ship's cargo bay, the next he was in the winter wasteland. He could feel the snow hitting him and the cold air on his skin. It was all real.
