Cold floor met their feet, and the relative calm of the abandoned ship materialized around them. Even so, the excavation team huddled together long after their screams finished echoing throughout the corridors. There they stayed for another twenty minutes before Jeremy dared to break the silence.
"W-We're back."
His words, however, could bring little reassurance to anyone when they were said in a feminine soprano.
"We're still girls!" Seth practically squeaked. He clutched at his female body still covered in nothing more than its bikini.
"What happened?" Lizzy asked. "Weren't we supposed to turn back?" Careful not to step on anything sharp, she tip-toed over to the computer displays. "Uh, guys? We may have a problem."
Jeremy looked over and noticed that all the screens had gone dark.
"The portal!" Sarah's cry brought everyone's attention over to the device in question, only to find it missing. That is, the portal's frame was there, but it stood empty, just a doorway to nowhere. Passing through it several times yielded no results.
This was not good.
