Abigail and Grace broke off their kiss, then simply held hands with each other, looking into each other's eyes with nothing but intimate love.
"I know we obey the Bible, but how could this be wrong? What's wrong with love?" Grace asked. Abigail didn't have an answer, because she felt the same way. There was nothing wrong with love. And there was nothing wrong about the way they felt for one another. Lesbians weren't disgusting creatures. They were beautiful creatures. It just felt completely right that two women should love each other in that way. Even two women like Grace and Abigail.
"What the hell is going on in here?!" came Jerry's voice. The two devoutly religious women (who now thought that the church was wrong on its position of being anti-lesbian) turned and looked at the owner of the café. A shocked look was splashed across his face as he stared at the two waitresses still making out with each other.
Abigail sighed, taking in the sight herself. "They look so beautiful together."
"Yes, they do," Grace said, with a dreamy smile.
"Hey, are you two gonna help out, or what? You hate lesbians, right?" Jerry asked the two middle aged women (Grace was 42 and Abigail was 43, by the way).
Abigail felt like she was slapped across the face, even though she knew that only moments earlier, that wouldn't have been the case. "How could I hate lesbians when I'm with Grace?" she said, loving squeezing her girlfriend's hand.
"Wait, what?" Jerry asked, confused. Then he shook his head and turned back towards the waitresses. "You two, cut it out. This instant!"
That seemed to do the trick, because both Dawn and Lyndsay broke their kiss and turned towards him.
"This is a restaurant. Do that on your own time."
Both waitresses reluctantly nodded. Yes, they were in love now, but Jerry was right. Making out instead of doing their jobs (regardless of the fact that they were both girls) was inappropriate. So after giving each other one last loving squeeze of their hands, they turned away from each other and went about their business.
But for Brandon and Bobby, and now Jerry, there was nothing business-as-usual about any of this. Brandon's wife had left the café with Bobby's girlfriend, both acting like lesbian lovers. Jerry's two female employees were apparently lesbians, which surprised him because he could have sworn that he had seen them with guys before, and recently too. And Abigail and Grace, two regulars, were apparently lesbians as well, even though Jerry knew for a fact that both women abhorred gays. So what the hell was happening?
"Hey, baby, isn't this your phone?" Dawn asked her new lesbian lover.
"Yeah, thanks. I think I dropped it on the floor," Lyndsay said, taking the phone from her. She brought it up to her ear. "Oops, I think the line is still open. It's playing that weird music I heard earlier."
"Weird music?" Dawn asked.
