"Maybe we can't get back into our own bodies, but maybe ..." Brandon (in Grace's body) began.
"Maybe what?" his wife (who was in Dawn's body) asked.
"Maybe we can try to get ... close? I mean, I could try to be in your body, honey," he explained to Donna. "And you can try to get into mine. At least we'll be someone we know."
Donna, Brandon, and the others thought about that, then agreed. Then, after switching various times, Brandon ended up in his wife's body and his wife ended up with Brandon's body, leaving the rest as Grace (still) in Jerry's body, Bobby (still) in Ted's body, Ted (still) in Abigail's body, Abigail (still) in Bobby's body, Melissa (still, somewhere in town) in Sydney's body, Jerry (now) in Grace's body, Lyndsay (now) in Dawn's body, Dawn (now) in Lyndsay's body, and Sydney (now) in Melissa's body. As it turned out, the way they switched, the two waitresses were now in each other's bodies. They weren't best friends or anything like that, but they did know each other fairly well, so it was a good outcome for them, other than getting their own bodies back.
"So what now?" Donna asked, now in her husband's body.
