When the light disappeared, Larry looked different. But he was still clearly a man. It's just that ... his clothes were much more casual - a sweatshirt and a pair of khakis. And on his hand ... was that a wedding ring? Mike could have sworn that that wasn't there a moment ago.
Larry had a dazed look in his eyes, but who could blame him? After that weird purple glow and the change that happened afterward, anyone would be a bit dazed and confused. Right?
"Honey, are you okay?" Mike asked. Honey? Why did I call him that? But then almost as soon as he asked himself that question, he knew. He didn't know how he knew, but he knew nonetheless. Larry was his husband. Mike blinked. No, that wasn't right. Larry was her husband.
Michelle looked at Larry and suddenly felt very familiar with him, like they had known each other for years, even though she knew next to nothing about him. And yes, Michelle was thinking of herself as a "she" now, even though she knew that she was really a teenage boy named Mike. It just didn't seem right or appropriate to consider herself as a boy or even a teenager. She was a 28-year old woman and a lucky one at that. Lucky to have such a handsome and loving husband as the one standing next to her. She leaned in and kissed Larry on the lips, not thinking it was weird or anything. She was just kissing her husband, right?
After the kiss, Larry looked back at her and smiled, his confusion gone. At least on the outside. In his mind, Larry was trying to figure out what was happening. Sure, he was attracted to this woman, but she was married, right?
