Mike looked up and saw that everyone was staring at him. More than anything, he wanted to get out of there. And that's exactly what he did.
A moment later, he found himself stumbling out of the café, not used to wearing heels. They were only 2-inch heels, but still. They were made for women and Mike (despite his current appearance) was definitely not a woman.
He looked around, not knowing where to go, but knowing that he just had to get out of there. It was an irrational thought, but at the moment, an irrational thought about what to do was better than none at all.
Finally, he got his head together enough to decide to go home. His parents obviously wouldn't believe who he was at first, but he was sure he could convince them otherwise. Maybe they would know how to help him. It was the best idea he had.
So with that, he headed back home.
Inside the café, Dawn did what she should have done before. She changed the "open" sign to a "closed" one. Hopefully, no one else would enter the café. At least until they figured out what was happening. It was bad enough that they had swapped bodies, but now it seemed that when they made contact with someone else, something even more bizarre happened. Until they figured out what was happening, they weren't sure if the restaurant should ever be opened again. They also weren't sure if they should leave.
