When the light was gone, Duke turned back and saw two lanky pale-skinned Goth boys in the place of Blake and Lucas.
The one in Lucas' place was wearing a fishnet shirt, tight black leather pants, and black boots. His blue-dyed hair was formed into spikes that shot up in all directions from his head, and he was wearing a spiked collar around his neck.
The one in Blake's place was wearing a black T-shirt, a black leather under-bust corset, a black leather ankle-length skirt, and black boots. His black-dyed hair was long and unruly, and he was wearing two spiked collars around his neck.
Both of them had pale-white skin and heavy dark make-up. They looked at Duke with murderous eyes, but that wasn't because they were angry or anything. That was their normal look, from now on.
Darcy stared at them. Wait a minute. Did I just think of myself as Darcy? In fact, she did. She knew she was actually a guy named Duke, but for some reason, she couldn't think of herself as him. She was a girl, after all.
"What the fuck did you do to me, you bitch?" asked the one who took Blake's place. Not only was he Goth now, he was also white. He turned and saw that Lucas had changed too. Everything about them looked totally different. Except for their faces. Despite looking like gothic freaks, their faces stayed mainly the same.
They both looked at Darcy. "What the fuck are you staring at?" asked the one who took Lucas' place.
Darcy wanted to tell them that she knew what they were going through, that the same thing happened to her (mostly), but instead she said "Only the two hottest guys I've ever seen." Wait, what? she thought.
The two new Goth boys looked at each other with perplexed looks, then looked back at Darcy. "We look like freaks. How the fuck do we look hot to you?" asked the one who took Lucas' place.
"Come on, Lucifer. Let's get outta here," the other boy said.
"What did you call me?"
The other boy blinked. "Lucifer?" Why did he say that? His name was Lucas, not Lucifer.
"Drake, my name is Lucifer, not Lucifer." Lucas' eyes went wide. What the hell?
"My name isn't Drake. It's Drake," Blake said. Why couldn't he say his name?!
