I would have recorded something last night, but what the science team showed us was just a little too much to handle. I needed time to think about it. Twelve hours to be exact. At first I wasn't sure what they were showing us. It just looked like a video scan of the third planet. But then they zoomed in and we all understood what we were seeing. It was a city. A vast alien city. From the scans, it appeared to take up nearly a quarter of the planet. A city as large as the Pacific Ocean back on Earth. It was amazing. But then when they zoomed in more, we could all see that nothing was moving. Everything was dead. The city was there, but it was all in ruins, as if it had been abandoned a very very long time ago. Scans of life on the surface were apparently inconclusive, so the science team was preparing for a landing mission.
