Richard walked over to the what was left of the smoldering fire. "Do you know what happened?" he asked a nearby scientist.
"Not a clue. This place is state-of-the-art, so I doubt it's a flaw in the infrastructure," the guy told him.
Suddenly, there was a loud noise, like a shelf overturning. "Now what?" Richard asked, looking in the direction of the noise. What he saw was Tim walking down the hall.
"Tim? What was that noise?" he asked, approaching him.
But instead of answering him, Tim grabbed him and tossed him across the room, knocking over beakers and lab equipment. Richard ended up falling to the ground, unconscious.
Seeing what Tim could do, the other scientists gave him a wide berth. Then he opened the elevator doors with his bare hands and walked inside.
As the elevator went up to the surface, one of the scientists had enough courage to hit the alarm.
There was definitely a containment breach. And Tim (or whatever he was now) was close to getting out.
