David retreated back to the lab where Tim was. But when he entered the room, he froze. He didn't know what it was, but it was standing on the floor, just a few feet from Tim.
"Tim?" David whispered.
He swiveled his chair towards David. "Did you find out what happened?"
"Don't ... move," David continued to whisper.
"What are you ..."
David pointed down to the floor.
Tim looked and nearly freaked out. "What is it?" he whispered.
They both looked at it. The creature was only about eight inches tall and had an strange brown color to it, but it looked vicious enough, especially with those claws. David wasn't sure, but he thought that he may, in fact, have been looking at an alien.
"What do I do?" Tim asked.
"Just stay here. I'll go get Richard."
"You're leaving me here with this thing?"
"If you don't move, maybe it will ... Tim!"
The creature darted towards Tim and jumped on him.
