Just as Nicole was informing all of the students about the importance of etiquette, hall rules and strictly adhering to class schedules, the sound of a basketball dribbled on the ground. Ms Lumi and Chen looked to their side,
to find a teenage boy with dark combed over hair, a grungy letterman jacket over a maroon shaded t-shirt and slightly ripped jeans, with sports sneakers and an aged designer watch from a previous era. His dribbling got
louder and louder as everyone cleared out around him. Nicole tightened her frame and flexed her arms as she started over the stadium, Veronica merely rolling her eyes and taking out her cell phone.

Everything went silent, until only the dribbling was heard. Surrounding the young boy was a small crew of kids in tanktops and sports tees, many of them recognizable from Autmnwood High's basketball team, the Maple Dribblers.

"Yo little Nino. Care to play ball in the jailhouse like you belong?" Nicole asked. The boy smirked, and then slammed it louder against the ground. "Or, maybe someone has to show you the jailhouse, no. 2 weeks detention." She started walking towards him.

"Now!" He yelled.

Nicole rammed thru the stadium like a bull, the other students cleared out while she prepared to make chase. As other students (many Nicole's own familia) from the student security council charged at the boy, the various
sports teams and jocks surrounding him shielded like a mob to block his reach, effectively forming a wall of jock as quarter backs clashed with heavily built students and school enforcers in sashes.

The kid grappled the ball and with all his pitching might, aimed to shoot it directly at Nicole's forehead - it seemed to disappear in an instant when he threw however, some kind of blur removing it from it's aerial trajectory a second in.

"Wha?" He said, looking back and starting to run away. Nicole pursued him.

Lumi took out the basketball from her backside nearby, tentacles retreating swiftly. "Fascinating. Would it kill them to optimize their weapons beyond crude throwing orbs?"

As Veronica sighed and leaned against her expensively manicured nails, a the sound of a fizzling air can replaced the rancor of the room, seemingly coordinated with Mendez's chase down the hall. Veronica turned around. "Pixiiiiie!"
The dribbler ran out the hallway with Nicole in hot pursuit.

The alien woman ignored the school flag being defaced and spray painted, and looked onwards at the ball curiously,

"Who was that pupil anyway? Perhaps, he's an invader like me? I should go gift him with a visit."

Leonard woke up in a huff. It was already 7:20- he'd overslept! "Drat, I'm already late. Better start preparing." He grabbed all of his bags and ran downstairs to throw together a lunch, his wardrobe in a panic and
school uniform hastily thrown on, not even finding the time for a quick cold shower. He couldn't be late on the first day, but the school was a good 20 minutes away. That was, unless.. "Wait a minute, I still have that."
He looked at the silky pouch over by his alarm clock, supposing it could come in handy in this situation.

Earlier

"Max, you're going to be late for school young man!" A maternal voice rang out. Mrs. Fairwell tip-toed up to Max's room and knocked on the door.

"I know mom, geesh. Cut me some slack. Like they're going to care that a sports superstar like me is a little late." A boy with a letterman jacket hung over his door replied, Max Fairwell.

He spun a basketball on his finger and texted on his phone.

[Max]: we still on for today's pep rally prank?
[Max]: the iron-lady honcho is going to be there
[Pixie]: Affirmative. Distract her. I'll deal with the rest.
[Max]: Sweet lub u TTYL

Max gave a sparkling grin. Baseball bats hung on stands, work-out equipment was carefully arranged by a weight set and benching press, his closet was full of track cleats and lacrosse sticks, and
a poster of a ruby-red DeLorean hung over his wall. He headed to the bathroom to shower up and applied some deodorant thinking of today's plan. So long as he was king of the jocks, no one would
ever touch him he figured. And having the foremost punk of the school on his side definitely helps.

While Veronica scolded the punkish girl above with a dull brownish-ponytail and grunge black hoodie, Lumi thought back to the escaping Max.

She punctured the basketball with a stray nail.
