Thinking fast, Charlie jumped back into the rocky pit and moved back into the tunnel, the one that he had spent so much time trying to get out of.
He watched as the dragon glided into the pit and tried to stick its head into the tunnel. Charlie moved back, but wondered if maybe he made his situation worse. The dragon could just breathe fire and Charlie would be dead instantly, since there was no other direction to go in.
He was trapped.
The dragon successfully stuck its head into the tunnel, and it looked as if it was about to open fire again.
