As he walked into town, people gave him strange looks, almost like he didn't belong there, even though Charlie was dressed similarly. For a moment, he had this crazy idea that he had traveled back in time, but that couldn't be. There were far too many modern objects around, like cars and street lights. No, he hadn't been thrown back in time. But what could possibly cause this?
At nearly the center of town, he saw what he assumed was the tallest building around. It was a white building that stood at only four floors. Hardly tall at all, but all the other buildings in town seemed to only be either one or two-floor structures.
He saw a sign on the front of the building that gave him another shock:
UNITED STATES BANK TOWER
"It can't be," Charlie said. "The Bank Tower is over seventy floors tall." He turned around and looked at all the people walking around. Some of them still gave him odd looks, but most ignored him.
What was happening here?
