"So, what do I do now?" Charlie asked.
Before they could answer him, the door swung open and someone rushed in. Charlie turned around and saw that it was Hendricks.
"Sorry, ma'am. But we just got new intel on the Tarn," he said.
"What is it?"
"They're moving. Now."
The woman looked at Charlie. "You want to know what you're going to do now? You're going to fight and defend this place, just like everyone else."
"Wait. What do you mean?" Charlie asked.
"The Tarn have found our location. They're coming to kill us." She turned her attention to White. "Make sure everyone has a weapon, Colonel."
White and Hendricks started to leave, as did some of the others in the room.
"Wait a minute. I don't know how to use a weapon," Charlie said.
"You'll learn," the woman said. "Now go!" She pushed Charlie out of the room.
He stumbled out into the corridor and while he was still in a daze, someone shoved a rifle into his hands. How did he even get himself into this? And how was he going to get out?
