Right at the moment the man touched him, he was engulfed with that odd blue sparkling dust he saw before. It surrounded his entire body. And when it finally dissipated, he saw that he was in a room with all white walls. There didn't seem to be any doors or windows.
"Hey, what the fuck are you doing here?"
Charlie turned around and saw Donovan. "I came here the same way you did. That weird guy sent me here."
"That weird guy is the Eliminator."
"The who?"
"Where have you been? Everyone knows who the Eliminator is."
"Well, I don't. Explain it to me."
Donovan looked at him oddly. "He came to Earth through the portal. He was the first person to do it. And, as it turns out, he was also the last."
"Portal?"
"Did you just wake up from a coma? Yes, the portal. The one that connects this universe with the next one. He came through and everything seemed fine ... until people started disappearing."
"Where did they go?"
"Well, up until now, I thought he killed them. You know, vaporized them. But obviously that doesn't seem to be the case."
Charlie looked around the room. "Where are we?"
"I have no fucking idea," Donovan said. "But believe me. I want out of here just as much as you. Maybe more."
