Suddenly, as if Charlie's prayers were answered, the sky changed color. This time it was yellow. This one was new to him. He had no idea what it did. But he had to do something, regardless.
As Charlie was pushed up into the back of the van, he swung around and bumped into the woman and ended up falling on her. Renee's bound hands touched the woman's skin and a numbing sensation bolted through Charlie's body. He watched as the woman became slightly older, maybe by about ten years. And he felt Renee's body become younger, probably by the same amount of years, making her about thirty. From what Charlie gathered, the yellow sky indicated an age swap.
"Get her up!" yelled the masked man that was in charge. His accomplice walked over to Charlie and picked him up. The man with the gun held his weapon up to Charlie's head. "You try something like that again, bitch, and I'll shoot you. I'm a marksman, so I can make sure it'll hurt like hell without killing you."
Charlie calmed down.
"That's better. Now get her in there. I want to meet up with Harrison on time."
"What about the other one?" the accomplice asked.
The gunman thought for a moment. "We better bring her with us. Just in case."
As Charlie was pushed into the back of the van, the sky returned to its normal color.
So much for trying to rectify his situation. All he ended up doing was making Renee younger, which didn't seem to really help in any way.
