Suddenly, as if Charlie's prayers were answered, the sky changed color. This time it was brown. This one was new to him. He had no idea what it would do. But he had to do something, regardless.
As Charlie was pushed up into the back of the van, he swung around and bumped into the woman and ended up falling on her. Renee's bound hands touched the woman's skin and Charlie was overwhelmed with an intense tickling sensation. As he laughed uncontrollably, he felt Renee's fingernails become claws and her skin being overrun by short thin hairs.
"What the hell is this?" Charlie asked out loud. It was like he was turning into an animal or something.
"Get her up!" yelled the masked man that was in charge. His accomplice walked over to Charlie and picked him up. The man with the gun held his weapon up to Charlie's head. "You try something like that again, freak, and I'll shoot you. I'm a marksman, so I can make sure it'll hurt like hell without killing you."
Charlie calmed down. Although, he had the strangest urge to eat ... fish?
"That's better. Now get her in there. I want to meet up with Harrison on time."
"What about the other one?" the accomplice asked.
The gunman thought for a moment. "We better take her with us."
As Charlie was pushed into the back of the van, the sky returned to its normal color.
So much for trying to rectify his situation. Instead of fixing things, he ended up turning Renee into some sort of part-animal freak.
