Suddenly, as if Charlie's prayers were answered, the sky changed color. This time it was orange.
As Charlie was pushed up into the back of the van, his body started to change. And within seconds, Renee had become a man, a male version of herself. Her clothes had also changed into a man's business suit and tie.
Charlie swung around and pushed the accomplice on the ground and then tackled the man with the gun. Now since he was in a man's body, he had a lot more strength than before. It was difficult to move around with his hands bound behind his back, but he managed. He quickly stood up and kicked the gun out of the man's hand and then kicked the guy in the head.
The woman stood by, completely stunned by what Charlie was doing. But after Charlie kicked the gunman, she grabbed Charlie and yelled "No! If you kill him, they'll kill my family!"
During the fight, he fortunately was able to spit out his gag. So speaking was no problem now. "Untie me," Charlie ordered her.
She nervously complied and soon after Charlie was free. The gunman was definitely out cold. In fact, his forehead was bleeding. Charlie must have kicked him really hard. The accomplice, on the other hand, was still quite awake, although he was groaning quite a bit.
Charlie walked over and picked up the gun and pointed it at him. As he did so, the sky changed back to its original color.
"Get up." When the guy didn't comply, Charlie kicked him. "Get up!"
The man hesitantly stood up.
"Where is this woman's family being held?" Charlie asked.
