Suddenly, as if Charlie's prayers were answered, the sky changed color. This time it was red.
As Charlie was pushed up into the back of the van, he swung around and bumped into the woman and ended up falling on her. Renee's bound hands touched the woman's skin and both of them merged into one person.
"Get her up!" yelled the masked man that was in charge. His accomplice walked over to Charlie and picked him up. The man with the gun held his weapon up to Charlie's head. "You try something like that again, bitch, and I'll shoot you. I'm a marksman, so I can make sure it'll hurt like hell without killing you."
Charlie calmed down.
"That's better. Now get her in there. I want to meet up with Harrison on time."
As Charlie was pushed into the back of the van, the sky returned to its normal color.
So much for trying to rectify his situation.
