Charlie leaned back on the front wall of the Renee's former apartment building (technically, it was both Richard's and Rachel's former apartment building too). It was the best way to stay outside and also stay out of the crowd.

"You can't stay here," a man suddenly said. "No loitering."

Charlie turned and got quite a shock. It was a cop. But not just any cop. It was the cop that he had possessed earlier that day, right after he possessed the mother and daughter. Now this made three encounters with people he had met just that day. What was going on here?

Suddenly, the sky flashed green. And Charlie made a rash decision. He grabbed the hand of the cop. And after an unpleasant transfer, Charlie had become the cop.

Renee curled her lip towards him and give him the finger. "Piss off," she said, then walked away. Her stride made her look sleazy.

Now, Charlie had another decision to make. Until the sky flashed green again, he could still hop into another body. And he was thinking about doing just that. After the last time, he definitely didn't want to be stuck as a cop. But, on the other hand, being a cop might give him unrestricted access to information that he could otherwise not get. All he'd have to do is flash his badge and get anything he wanted. Or at least that's what Charlie thought.

He had no idea when the sky would flash green again, though. So he had to make a decision right now.
