Charlie turned around and reached out his hand towards the cop.
The cop, thinking that Charlie wanted to thank him by shaking his hand, reached out with his own hand.
As they shook, Charlie felt the same suction sensation he felt with the mother and the girl. He closed his eyes and when he opened them, he was in the cop's body.
"Thank you, officer," the mother said.
"Uh ... no problem," Charlie said.
He watched as both the mother and her daughter walked away, presumably back to their minivan down the street.
"Officer!" he heard someone yell. He turned around and saw a man running towards him.
