Howard walked back to his bed. He was dead tired.
"Goddamn freak," he said. Then he stopped. There was something wrong with his voice. It didn't sound like his voice. In fact, it sounded a lot like ... Steve's.
He continued to walk to his bed, but stopped again when he caught a glimpse of himself in his bedroom mirror. He thought he was dreaming. He must have been dreaming. Walking closer, he saw that his entire head looked different. It was no longer his head. It was Steve's. It looked normal, meaning no pale skin or piercings. But it was someone else's head. Steve's head.
How was this possible?
Tiffany Fielding, the teenage girl that lived with her parents down the hall, was finishing up some homework when the fairy granted Steve's desire. She screamed when she saw her new reflection. Except, when she screamed, it wasn't her voice, but rather Steve's.
Her parents ran into her bedroom to see what was going on and she got another shock. Her parents both had Steve's head too. It was weird to see it on her mother's body. Both nearly had a heart attack when they saw what their daughter now looked like, as well as each other.
The elderly couple next door to the Fieldings were fast asleep by then, so they wouldn't notice the changes until they awoke. But Erica, the underwear model, did. And she might have screamed the loudest.
Steve wanted everyone to be more like him. And now they were, since they all had had his face and voice.
